Lisbon is going to host the 2020 UN Ocean Conference, an event to move forward the organization’s sustainable development agenda under the umbrella “Action for People and Planet.” With an overall goal to conserve and use oceans, seas and marine resources, in order to promote a sustainable development, and with an overarching theme of “Scaling up ocean action based on science and innovation”, the UN Ocean Conference will happen between June 2 and June 6, 2020.

The accreditation for non-governmental and civil society organizations, academic institutions and the scientific community, both for the Conference and its preparatory meeting in February 2020, as well as other information, are now available via the website oceanconference.un.org.
