As a Professor at the Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute of History, Polish Academy of Science Warsaw, Katarzyna Sierakowska’s research interests include the social history of Poland both in the 19th and 20th centuries, with particular focus on WW1 and Inter-War period, the history of women and history of gender. Katarzyna is the author of several articles and books: “Parents, children, grandparents…The big- city intelligentsia family in Poland 1918 1939” and “Death – exile – starvation in personal documents. Polish lands during the Great War 1914-1918”.
