Food in the Future: evolution or revolution?
Producing more food with fewer resources is one of the main future challenges due to the demographic growth and climate crisis. This was the starting point of the conference on sustainability that took place on November 2022, organised by Jerónimo Martins Group in Lisbon.

The University of Lisbon was the venue for the sustainability conference organised by the Jerónimo Martins Group in November 2022. In a context of worldwide demographic growth and the worsening of the climate crisis, producing more food with fewer resources is one of the main challenges in the upcoming decades.
This was the starting point for a dogma-free debate on what is changing in the way food is produced, the central role of science and technology in the success of the mission to feed the world, and how to adapt diets in order to better incorporate environmental concerns. This conference had the scientific supervision of Professor Tiago Domingos, from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon, and the institutional partnership of the Portuguese Institute for Agrarian and Veterinary Research.
