Dark Sky Alqueva, in Portugal, was the world’s first reserve to be certified as a Starlight Tourism Destination. FEED spoke with the project’s mentor, Apolónia Rodrigues, and the astrophotographer Miguel Claro, to understand why a night spent under these dark skies is a lot more than just entertainment.
